1993 :  Bachelor of Science, majoring in mathematics and physics, University of Queensland, Australia.  
1994 :  Honours (physics), University of Queensland, Australia.
Thesis title: Two-atom resonance fluorescence in standing- and running- wave laser fields.
Supervisor: Dr. Zbyszek Ficek
 
1995 :  Studied how to travel through Africa, Europe, and North America without starving.  
1998 :  Doctor of Philosophy, York University, Canada.
Thesis title: Dressing an atom in a field of many colours
Supervisor: Prof. Helen Freedhoff
 
1998-2000 :  Contract faculty position, Department of Physics, University of Toronto.  
2000-2001 :  Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Institute for Experimental Physics, University of Vienna.  
2001-2003 :  Wandered around Bell Labs, getting lost, drinking way too much coffee, collaborating with Lov Grover and uncollaborating with Chris Fuchs and Steven van Enk.  
2003- :  Thanks to an Advanced Fellowship from the EPSRC, I am now a member of the physics faculty at Imperial College, London. (Yep, I now have my own graduate students to try and make miserable...)
